Handcrafted in Antigua Guatemala by jeweler José Vicente, these quetzal earrings pair detailed silverwork with rare Guatemalan Lilac Jade, a variety of jade known locally as Jade Lila. Although the stone often appears soft white at first glance, it carries delicate lavender undertones that give it its distinctive character and name.

The design features the quetzal, Guatemala's national bird. Intricate hand-carved details capture the flowing form of the quetzal's tail feathers, while the pale lilac jade creates a striking contrast against the silver.

Guatemala is one of the few places in the world known for producing jadeite jade, including the highly prized Jade Lila variety. This stone is sought after for its subtle coloration, ranging from milky white to pale lavender, with each piece displaying its own natural variations.

Made entirely by hand, their lightweight construction makes them easy to wear while showcasing a material deeply connected to Guatemala's history.
