FAQ's

1. How long does shipping take?

Delivery time depends on the shipping service you choose at checkout. Options range from express delivery to slower, more affordable services, depending on your destination.

Processing time: Please allow 2–3 full business days for us to prepare your order, unless the product description says otherwise. Print-on-demand items require additional production time.

We ship from San Diego, California, Monday through Saturday, around 2 p.m. Pacific Time. We do not ship on Sundays or holidays.

U.S. shipping options may include:

  • USPS: Priority Mail Express, Priority Mail, and Ground Advantage.

  • UPS: Next Day Air, 2nd Day Air, 3 Day Select, and Ground.

  • DHL: Express domestic delivery, where available.

International shipping options may include:

  • USPS: Priority Mail Express International, Priority Mail International, and First-Class Package International for eligible smaller packages.

  • UPS: Worldwide Express, Worldwide Saver, and Worldwide Expedited.

  • DHL Express: Express international delivery, with transit times based on the destination.

Available services, shipping costs, and delivery estimates are shown at checkout. Shipping time begins once your package has been handed to the carrier and does not include order processing. International orders may take longer due to customs clearance.

During graduation season: In-stock orders received before 12 noon Pacific Time ship the same day, Monday through Saturday, excluding holidays. Orders received after noon ship the next working day. Custom and print-on-demand orders require additional preparation time.

Once your order ships, you will receive an email with your tracking number. For more details, please see our Store Policies.

3. Do you accept custom-made orders?

Many of our pieces reflect longstanding cultural traditions. Some artisans prefer to preserve their traditional designs and techniques, so custom orders are not available for every item.

Custom orders may be available for select pieces purchased wholesale. Contact us with your idea and the quantity you need, and we’ll help you explore the options.

4. Are your pieces authentic? Why do similar items cost more on other websites?

Yes! Our Guatemalan pieces are authentic and personally selected. By sourcing from artisans and local suppliers, we keep extra costs down and offer competitive prices. Prices may vary between shops based on sourcing, materials, and business costs.

5. The item I like is sold out. Will you restock it?

Many of our pieces are one of a kind, so an exact restock is unlikely. We may find a similar piece in the future, but its colors, patterns, or details may be different.

There are a few exceptions, including graduation sashes, skirts from Cobán, silver and jade jewelry, and select other items, which we may restock depending on availability.

If you’re looking for a particular item, feel free to contact us.

6. Do you offer wholesale?

Yes! We supply select Guatemalan products to stores and entrepreneurs throughout the United States and Europe.

For information about available pieces, wholesale pricing, and order requirements, contact us through WhatsApp at +1 858 633 3027 or email guatesavia@gmail.com.

7. How do you source your products?

Every item in our shop is personally selected by Leslie, the founder of SaviaGuate. She travels to small villages and communities throughout Guatemala to meet with artisans and local suppliers, choosing pieces that reflect the country’s culture, creativity, and traditions.

11. How do I wash a Guatemalan textile?

Unless the item’s care instructions say otherwise, we recommend gentle hand washing in cold water and air drying, especially for vintage textiles.

Use a mild detergent, avoid bleach, and do not wring the fabric. Wash separately, as some textiles may release color. Delicate pieces should dry flat to help preserve their shape.
