This new traditional huipil de Cobán from Alta Verapaz showcases the iconic Cobanero crop‑top style, the only region in Guatemala where women wear crop‑top huipiles as part of their daily dress. These huipiles are favorites among shoppers because they are lightweight, fresh, flowy, and incredibly comfortable — a staple in Guatemalan artisan fashion.
The textile features a black base, making the silk hand embroidery stand out beautifully. The motifs are stitched in vibrant colors including blue, green, yellow, pink, orange, and red, arranged in classic Cobán geometric and floral patterns. Each design is hand‑embroidered with precision by Alta Verapaz Maya weavers, giving the huipil a rich, artisanal look.
